Clean up the bathroom

Yesterday I wrote a blog about towels and co. So today it's time for a new challenge - the bathroom. In the bathroom we want to get ready quickly in the morning and in the evening it should be a bit of an oasis to relax... Follow these steps to create more order in your bathroom:

  •  First, as always, empty out all the drawers, compartments, cupboards and what is on top of and underneath them. Also get the things out of the shower and clean the cupboards and co and also the surfaces.
  •  go through all the things. Are there things you never use or don't like? Or maybe they've already expired or otherwise become old? No matter how much it cost (e.g. perfume), if you don't like using it, it's just dead weight and won't make you happy. It's better to get rid of it or let it move on...
  •  If you have towels in the bathroom, think about how many you need for you and your family, as I wrote in yesterday's blog. There is no point in having too many towels. We can wash regularly.
  •  Toilet paper! Just a very topical issue at the moment... a few spare rolls are certainly useful if you have them quickly to hand. Think about how you want to store them. Maybe in a cute basket. I don't think storing complete packs of toilet paper in the bathroom is ideal, especially when space is at a premium.
  •  If you have a lot of refills or spare packs for shampoos, toothpaste and the like (which I used to advise against, but the virus has changed everything), it's best not to store them in the bathroom. Maybe you can find a place for them in the spare room or in the cellar.
  •  Ideally, medicines should not be stored in the bathroom either, because temperatures fluctuate too much here.
  •  In the bathroom, small baskets, containers or other organisational helpers are very good because we have to organise many small things here. If you want to get something (at the moment only online), be sure to measure beforehand so that you are not disappointed because it doesn't fit.
  •  And now you can put everything back again... the shelves should remain empty as far as I'm concerned. If you don't like that or it's not possible, then organise the things that are on display nicely on a tray. That also makes cleaning much easier.

Then I wish you a nice, sunny weekend at home :-). Don't clean all the time!ha, ha
