With these 7 tidying tips that you can quickly and easily implement in your everyday life, your home will immediately look much tidier without stress and without much effort... choose 1-3 points and focus on them. It's not about doing everything...
10 Min. Challenge - Set the timer for 10 minutes in the morning and do a tidying power session. Tidy up as much as you can in that time. You will be amazed at what you can achieve in such a short time. Ideally, you should do 2-3 such sessions per day. Motivate the family to join in too.
One in / One out - If you buy a new pair of trousers, for example, dispose of or give away a pair that no longer makes you 100% happy. This way, the number of items always remains the same.
Conscious shopping break - Take a break from consumption. Do not buy anything new for a certain period of time (e.g. 3 months or more). Motivate other members of the family to join in.
2 min. rule - If it takes less than 2 minutes to do something right away, do it now and don't put it off until later. Later is often never.
1 week cooling-off period - If you see something in a shop that you want to buy or discover something beautiful in a catalogue, give yourself 1 week to think about it. Put it in your calendar. Often, after this time, you are no longer interested in the item. This is how you prevent bad purchases.
Less is more - When you own fewer things, it's easier to keep things tidy. Letting go is not always easy. Set aside one area (e.g. the kitchen). Get a big box and put everything you don't need regularly in it and store it in the basement. Anything you definitely don't want to keep can go straight into the bin or recycling. If you don't miss them within 3-6 months, they can move on.
You hate checklists and routines? Then set various alarms per day not only for getting up... this also works very well with children.
If you Children have: motivate them to clean up after playing before they take out something new. It's usually the same in kindergarten. Why not do the same at home? Place a nice basket in the living room where you can put toys that are lying around in the evening.
