Sort out cookbooks and organise recipes

During the shut down period, we will cook and eat at home more than ever before... it is very helpful if we have our 5-10 standard menus in mind that we can whip up quickly and without much brain power. That's what I do too. As time goes by, I feel like something different again... if the recipes are well ordered, it's quite simple... proceed as follows:

  •  Collect all the cookbooks and put them in one place
  •  Flip through each book and mark the recipes you would like to try. If there are cookbooks in which only 2-5 recipes appeal to you, then either tear out the pages or make copies (or photograph them so that you can then print them out). Of course, if you have a lot of recipes marked, those cookbooks can stay. Also those that you don't use much but make you happy, for example because they are very stylish. Maybe you could use them as decoration...
  •  And then get rid of all the other cookbooks... the worn out ones into the waste paper and the others into the Broki or maybe you can give some away....
  •  Now for the recipes that you have torn out of a newspaper or magazine or found on the internet and printed out: go through each sheet and think about whether it is still up to date and whether you would like to cook the dish. Create a folder in which you can collect these recipes, preferably by category.
  •  Keep all cookbooks (except those for decoration) in a (!) place that is easily accessible. There's nothing more annoying than having to clear out the baked goods first to get to the cookbooks....
  •  Allocate a fixed area to the cookbooks that should not grow. If there is no more space there, then it is time to clear out again... this way it always remains clear.

Have fun with the implementation!

Tomorrow we'll cover an exciting topic namely: cleaning out the wardrobe and getting ready for spring :-), which will hopefully come soon!
